Grounded in science. Guided by sensation.

The path back to your body, your desire, and the parts of yourself you’ve been quietly pushing away. Through psychology-informed somatic sexology, Claire offers sessions and workshops for individuals and couples exploring intimacy, sexuality, pleasure, desire, communication, and deeper connection, all designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Most of us were taught how to perform. Very few of us were taught how to feel.

Sex, intimacy, and relationships can become something we get through rather than something we genuinely experience.

You might find your mind elsewhere while your body goes through the motions. You might be questioning what you’re doing “right” or “wrong,” navigating low desire, feeling disconnected from pleasure, or wondering where your sexual confidence has gone.

Or perhaps nothing is wrong at all.

Maybe you’re curious about your sexuality. Maybe you want more spark, more playfulness, deeper intimacy, better communication, or simply a richer connection with yourself or your partner.

Desire can go quiet. Connection can feel assumed rather than truly felt. Even in loving relationships, there can be conversations, needs, and longings that remain unspoken.

Many of us learn to override discomfort, ignore the signals from our body, and prioritise everyone else’s needs. Over time, the thread back to ourselves begins to fade—and we start to believe that's simply how life is.

The Pleasure Paradox offers a different path.

Through somatic sexology, nervous system awareness, embodied psychology, and mindful practice, you’ll learn to reconnect with your body, deepen intimacy, explore desire, cultivate pleasure, strengthen communication, and build more fulfilling relationships—with yourself and with others.

This isn’t about fixing what’s broken.
It’s about remembering what was always there. A coming home to yourself.
Not through pressure. Not through performance. Through curiosity.

About Claire
Where curiosity meets a little mischief.

I've always been fascinated by people; what shapes us, what drives us, and what becomes possible when we stop living on autopilot. My career began in psychology, healthcare, learning and behaviour change, helping people understand themselves and navigate growth. Yet the topic that kept pulling me back was sexuality. Not because it was taboo, but because it sits at the intersection of so many things that make us human: connection, identity, pleasure, vulnerability, communication, confidence, and belonging.

What is somatic sexology?

Most of us were never taught how to feel at home in our bodies—especially when it comes to sex. We learned how to perform, manage, analyse, or push through. Somatic sexology starts somewhere different. It starts with the body.

You may already understand why you feel disconnected, anxious, stuck, or shut down. You might have talked about it, reflected on it, or read every book you could find. Yet when you’re in the moment, the same patterns still show up.

That’s because sexuality isn’t just something we think about.

It’s something we experience through our bodies. Somatic sexology combines embodied practices with an understanding of psychology, relationships, and the nervous system. Through breath, movement, sensation, mindfulness, and guided exploration, we work with your lived experience—not just the story about it.

At The Pleasure Paradox, this means less focus on fixing yourself and more focus on getting curious. Curious about what your body is telling you. Curious about your desires. Curious about the patterns you’ve inherited and the possibilities you haven’t yet explored.

Because the goal isn’t to become someone else.
It’s to come home to yourself.

Claire's approach is grounded in rigorous academic training - a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours, and specialist certification in somatic sexology - and guided by lived embodied experience. This isn't just theory. It's the integration of science, sensation, and genuine human connection.

Every session is trauma-informed, non-judgemental, and built entirely around you. You set the pace. You define what's possible. Claire holds the space.
